0318hours on th 23rd of March. Th nation was greatly grieved at th news of our MM Lee Kuan Yew.
It pains me to see that people are disrespecting LKY all over th social medias. Saying that we are better off without him and whatnot. I would like to just say a great big "FUCK YOU" to these people. Look around you. Everything you live and breathe is LKY. Th education that you have been receiving, th HDBs that you say in, th trees along th streets that gives you life and shade from th scorching sun.
If you were to think about it, although there are some aspects of his doings we do not like, but looking at a whole, all th small things he made an effort to enforce, it benefits not him, but us.
I was lucky and patient enough to have bid Mr Lee a final farewell at Parliament House last Thursday. A 4.5hours wait with two good friends to kill th boredom. It's heartwarming to see people helping one another even though we have never seen each other before. Passing water through th crowds, tearing up cardboard boxes to use as fans, chain screaming for th medic for God knows what reason. LKY's wish for Singapore is true if you didn't already realized. One Singapore.
"If you want to be popular all th time, you will misgovern."
"Over 100 years ago, this was a mud-flat, swamp. Today, this is a modern
city. Ten years from now, this will be a metropolis. Never fear."
Although his decision are not always what we may have hoped for. There isn't a doubt that he made that decision for us and not for himself. Everything he does, falls into place one way or another. He made Singapore. He is Singapore.
I believe that th spirit of him will still be continued throughout th generations. The continuity his legacy will be forever. You have gave us a country worth fighting for and a good life to live. I thank you from th bottom of my heart. Goodbye, LKY.
