Decorating th walls.

There's this saying that goes around, "If your body is a temple, why not decorate th walls". Churches has beautiful mosaics all over th place. Temples have statues at everywhere you face.

I strongly believe that judging someones capabilities based on th way they decide to "revamp" themselves, is as bad as judging someone based on th colour of their skins, or th places they were born. Discrimination is discrimination.

Ladies and Gentlemen, what century are we living in? Haven you figured out that it does not mean someone with inks covering their bodies, is not an ideal candidate for th job. How can you link th decorating of skins to th ability of someone. We were taught from young to never judge a book by it's covers and isn't that what society is influencing us these days? Practice what you preach already damn it.

It doesn't mean that a tattooed person is "uncouth", "uneducated" or "future-less". Lets take Bill Gates for example. Slap a tattoo on him, does that make him any less of a genius that founded Microsoft? English former footballer, David Robert Joseph Beckham. He is an influential, famous individual. He is also tattooed. Does that makes him any less of a legend on th field?

You see someone on th streets with both his arms covered with art and you pass off a look in their direction.
You see a young tattooed father/mother carrying a child and you immediately decided that they had a shotgun marriage and that th kid will suffer because their parents have no way of providing them with a future they deserve.

I'm not one to say that I'm "inked" as i only have like a few pieces and they aren't very big. Don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid of what society wants to think of me. If I could, I would be covered in inks in a heartbeat. Th only reason I have not done anything drastic is because of my mother.

Saying she's th leader of th anti-tattoos is an understatement. She is one of those that believe, people that ink themselves has a screw loose someone in their noodle. She stereotype people with tattoos. Every time she has an opening, she WILL criticise me on my tattoo, ask me to have them removed, relating every bad thing that happens back to me getting inked. If she could, she would relate th recent monster haze back to my tattoos. Nonetheless, I still respect my mother enough to do tattoos that are easily covered. I can't undo what I've done, I wont stop doing them just because she disapproves.

So here's what I say to all those inked and proud. Fuck what "they" think. Who are they to judge us by th choices we make. Who are they to tell us how to run our lives.
