Reminiscent

rem·i·nis·cent   [rem-uh-nis-uhnt]
adjective1.awakening memories of something similar;
 So as i was going through my brother's old childhood clothes to see if I can dig up and usable teeshirts that are around my size to try cutting first before I actually get good teeshirts and revamp-ing them. I found my old concert teeshirt.

"Rhythm of Hope and Life". My second ballet concert in my whole life! It was 2005 December holidays. OMG. I feel transported back in time to where it actually happened. I was one of th little girls in "Garland Dance" (At least i think thats what its called. cant seem to find th program booklet for th show). Why I said little girls was because in th Garland dance, half are "Little boys" half are "Little Girls".

My partner was this smart looking girl and for th life of me i cant remember her name. Anyway, It was at Kallang Theatre. We shared th rooms with our senior dancers from another act. (They were th ones that let us try on their pointe shoes although it was too big for us.) My dance had props! th garland pole thingy. I swear th dance is cute! wait let me go find a video.

Yup, Something like this but of cos, its Little Singaporean kids dancing instead of adult dancers. Which is why mine was totally cuter! HAHAHA. and ours had more little boys! and we were holding this cane material thing instead of out hands free up th whole time. And th dance was slightly different too.

That concert was to raise money for Kidney Dialysis patients. I think it had a small section in th L!fe section on th Straits Times. Anyway~ that was th second concert I did.

The first ever ballet concert i performed in was "Swing in(it) for th Saints". See th HUGE St Andrew's Village that th don't know what highway oversees? Yup! I DID A SMALL BUT SIGNIFICANT PART OF BUILDING IT! Cos th money we collected for th show, program booklets, tickets, individual performance sponsors,etc.

So this concert was special. Cos as th name suggest, SWING! Yup, my performance was called... "HAWAII FIVE O" hahaha! super cute! Close your eyes and imagine around 50 little girls, in pink/blue polka dot poof tutu skirts with little tube tops! YUP! Cuteness OVERLOAD! i was in a blue polka dot skirt with a grey tube top. And th best part! Cos we were all little girls and you know, not well endowed yet, so they sewed little straps to our tube top and covered th straps with foundation! HAHAHA.

Cant remember much of th dance any more and I couldn't find a video to show you because it was an "Original" they remixed their own oldies in! Off th top of my head, th start and end was th Hawaii five O song,  one part had "Goodness gracious great balls of fire" and then a guitar solo, cant remember any more. HAHA. But that was th more enjoyable act because we put as little ballet into it as possible! HAHA.

Yah. Oh. Why I quit ballet? I didn't quit. My teacher just decided not to take me in her senior class any more. I swear it wasn't me. Couldn't be a sucked or else she would not have chosen me out of her how many hundreds of students to dance in two consecutive concerts right? If i sucked that bad, i wont be chosen for examination every year and pass with top scores every year right? If it was my attitude, she would had told me! and HELLO, so young sure didn't have any attitude problem! Swear!

Yup, this concludes my blast from th past! whole night gone! At least it takes my mind of B. Sorry I didn't post any pictures of me during ballet because those people that seen th photo, said i look like a ghost. SO NO PICTURES UNLESS YOU ASK ME PERSONALLY! :)
